Saturday, June 29 - 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Vajrasattva Meditation Practice led by Venerable Gyalten Rabten

All the problems, obstacles and miseries in our lives come from the negative karmic seeds left in our mind streams when we committed negative actions of body, speech and mind. Therefore, Buddha manifests in the form of Vajrasattva to help us purify these negative karmas so that the unwanted sufferings will not ripen as negative results in the future.

The Vajrasattva meditation and recitation is also important because in order to have the realizations of the path, we have to make our mental continuums receptive and ripe for such realizations.

It is explained in the tantra "Ornament of the Vajra Essence" that if one recites the mantra of Vajrasattva with all four opponent factors present 21 times a day, it can prevent the negativities from increasing. If we recite the mantra l00,000 times, it actually purifies the negativities.

The sessions will be guided by Venerable Gyalten Rabten. Born and raised in Singapore, Venerable Rabten is one of the senior teachers at CKSL from the Sera Jey Monastery in Bylakuppe (Karnataka).

We will have a group Sutra recitation on Saturday, Jun 29, 5:00 pm to 5:45 pm
