An unexamined life is not worth living – Socrates
Through this simple statement; Socrates wanted to convey a profound message to the world. He wanted to communicate that an unexamined human life is deprived of the true meaning and purpose of being. Life isn’t worth living without having purpose and meaning.

4) Above this second world, exists the Suvarloka or Svarga Loka starting from the globe of the sun up to the pole star (Dhruva). It is also commonly called heaven. Souls reaching this world are those who have done good work of social service, which is not for fame. The here gets a body called a bhoga śarīra. Food for this body to is supplied from cosmic energy.
Once a soul attains an energetic body, material food is not at all required by its body. It is said that the material food given to deserving priests, reaches the departed souls. But this is only an arthavāda, which is a lie told for a good purpose. It ensures that even a greedy person performs the death rituals and donates food to deserving receivers. It is very important to ensure that the receiver of our donation during any ritual is deserving of our donation. Donation to the deserving brings merit, while donation to the undeserving incurs sin.
Do not think that the donation of food, clothes and money done to undeserving receivers is a mere waste. Actually, it yields punishment since such donation is sin. The Veda says that a receiver is deserving only if the person possesses the following two things (Śrotriyasya chākāmahatasya):
i) Spiritual knowledge of the Veda (or of the holy scripture of one’s particular religion) and
ii) The lack of aspiration for receiving anything in return from the donor or performer of the ritual.

There the soul waits for ten days for the inquiry of its deeds by God. During this period, its subtle body gets food from cosmic energy. Individual souls have different shades in their energetic bodies based on their qualities and deeds done.
The first world, Bhū Loka, is subdivided into four sub-worlds called Martya Loka, Preta Loka, Naraka Loka and Pitṛ Loka. This earth on which human beings exist is called Martya Loka or Karma Loka, which is the first sub-world of the first world, called Bhū Loka. This first sub-world is the place for doing deeds and hence, it is called a karma loka. Above this first sub-world, the other three upper sub-worlds of the Bhū Loka and the other worlds existing above the Bhū Loka, are invisible to human beings due to the unimaginable power of God. But by the grace of God, some souls can see them.
When the inquiry is over in the Preta Loka, the individual soul with its subtle body, travels along one of four channels starting from the Preta Loka which is the junction. The channel along which a soul is sent depends on the inquiry of its deeds and the corresponding fruits that are to be enjoyed by the soul. The Naraka Loka and the Pitṛ Loka, which are the two uppermost sub-worlds of Bhū Loka lying above the Preta Loka, are called bhoga lokas. All worlds lying above the Bhū Loka are also called as bhoga lokas, which are the places meant for the enjoyment of the fruits of one’s deeds. The four possible channels through which souls are sent after the inquiry in the Preta Loka are:
1) The third sub-world immediately above the Preta Loka is called Naraka Loka, which is hell. All sinners go to this world. Their souls are present in bodies which resemble black smoke. This body of smoke is called as dhūma śarīra. Note that the ‘food’ for all energetic bodies is cosmic energy itself. But for the souls in the dhūma śarīras this ‘food’ from the cosmic energy, is almost not supplied. The souls constantly suffer from terrible weakness. Very very little cosmic energy and that too very rarely, is supplied to them now and then; just to maintain the very mild energetic bodies. Naraka Loka (hell) is headed by Yama Dharmarāja. In the region just above this regular hell, special hells headed by Kālabhairava also exist.
2) The uppermost sub-world of Bhū loka is called Pitṛ loka to which all neutral souls go. This sub-world is located on the moon. The body of the soul here is made of mild moonlight and is called as a pitṛ śarīra. Food for these bodies is supplied in the form of the light energy of the moon.

"I am source of all arjun but i am not doer"
"There are two birds on one tree, one enjoys fruits bitter or sweet, one just watches"
For you, to say,
"Cat is lord" is wrong, for that brings "lord" which is attributless and devoid of qualities as such who is infinite, not limited under scope of "Action".
Electricity can light the bulb, it can kill too, in whatever way, you use electricity, you get the results, same is case with the "Will".
Lord is just a Screen, of what? Consciousnesses, Whatever shall you super-impose on it, that you will receive; Lord never acts But so to say, he has appointed "Yama" which is death to do his job, Fire to do its job, Air to do its job, Space to do it's job, Ears to do it's job, Eyes to do it's job and the like by "maya".
There must not be Confusion between Sahguna and Nirguna concepts,
Sahguna is not the final destination, it is but pointer in midst.
"It does not moves but seems to move as it were" Brihadaryanka Upnishad
"I am unmovable, yet this whole universe revolves around me"
Nothing transcends lord or more accurately said Brahman, not even free will but this does not means that it is to be brought under 'act'
Which is why upnishad further say,
"He, the brahman has infinite Will to create, he then have created everything, without moving, makes beings move" is to be understood carefully.
Tho i appreciate your way of making things understand but slight contradictions can make final fruits go bad,
The cat is Yama, lord of death, or death it self, Rat is individual, Now if you want to consider 'lord' here, then it would be the space in which they run about catching eachother my friend.
That's the nature of "Brahman" and it's "Glory" because of "Authority".

The Lord is controlling all the souls as per Veda “Aatmeshwaram”, which means that all the souls are ruled by the Lord. Gita also says the same “Bhuthanaam Eeswarah”. But this does not mean that there is no independence for the soul. When the king rules the kingdom, all the people in that kingdom are independent in their activities, but they are within the rules of the king. Thus a short span of independence in the human life exists under the control and supervision of the Lord.
A cat caught a rat by its jaws. It leaves the rat after a bite for a short span of time. In that span the rat gets independence and runs in any side as it likes. But the cat is watching the rat and catches it again whenever the rat is out of the limits of the supervision. Similarly the Lord called “Kaala” (death) catches a human being and bites. The bite is the illness of the human being. The repeated diseases are the repeated bites of the ‘Kaala” or the Lord.
During the bite the rat looses completely its independence. Similarly any human being, which is attacked by the disease becomes a patient and looses its independence completely. The cat plays with the rat for sometime like this and finally swallows the rat. Similarly, the human being is swallowed by the Lord at the end.
The whole creation itself is like a rat for the cat like Lord, which is told in Brahmasutra “Atta Charaachara Grahanaat”. Thus the short span of independence of human beings under the supervision of the overall controlling Lord creates the full game and entertainment for the Lord.
Within the limits of the supervision of the cat, the rat will receive the result of the direction in which it runs. In one direction there may be fire and the rat may receive the heat. In another direction there may be cold water and the rat will receive the coolness in that direction. The rat is independent to receive the result of the direction and has full independence to go in any direction.
The final death of the rat shows that the rat is under the control of the cat during its choice of direction also, which is not interfered by the cat. Similarly the human life is with full of independence but the final end proves that the independence is under the control of the Lord. Yet, since there was no interference of the Lord during the human life, the human being receives the results according to its actions. Thus the “whole game is perfectly justified in any angle.”

It has become the fashion of the day to use the word Yoga for every activity. Yoga means simply attainment. But attainment of what is important? The Yoga shastra of Patanjali uses this word strictly in the attainment of Eswara (Lord). To render service (practical devotion) to the Lord, mental and physical health is needed. The early five stages (Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama and Pratyahara) concentrate on this attainment of physical and mental health.
Afterwards the other three stages (Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi) deal with the main subject of attainment of the Lord. The preachers are stopping with the early five steps only and limiting their efforts by turning their spiritual workshops in to gymnasiums, hospitals and recreation centers. By this you are preaching the art of peaceful and happy living on this earth. If you stop here, the main goal of Patanjali Yoga is totally lost.
A Boy who is admitted to the school is given fees and good food. He is expected to go to the school and study. But, he goes to the cinema theatre and uses the fees to purchase the ticket for cinema. This is the fate of Yoga today. The Yoga centre teaches all the steps to attain physical health by the first four steps and mental health by the fifth step. The person becomes fully healthy and attains mental peace by the control of thoughts (chittavrutti Nirodhah… Yoga Sutra).
The thought is controlled so that it is diverted from the world to use it in the direction of devotion (Vyavasayatmika… Gita). A horse is controlled by the owner so that it will not have freedom to go as it likes in the wrong directions. Therefore, controlling thoughts to divert the mind to the right path is Pratyahara. It is withdrawal of mind (Kurmonganiva….Gita) but not destruction of mind (Manolaya Yoga).
The preachers are talking about the dissolution of thoughts which is equal to killing the horse. By doing so the horse cannot be used in any direction. The purpose is lost. One medicine to cure the tooth pain was advertised like this: by using this medicine you will never get pain for any tooth because this medicine will remove all the teeth from your mouth! Similarly, if you kill the mind, the problems and all worries have ended once for all. By killing the horse, the problem in controlling it is solved forever!
Such a state in which the thoughts are dissolved and the mind is destroyed results in the state of a stone in human form. You will become the statue of the human being carved in a stone!

Pure Awareness (Soul) requires existence of 2 items. One is inert energy that is obtained from digestion of food (Annat Purashah- Veda). Second is nervous system, which alone can convert this inert energy into awareness on functioning. So, awareness is dependent on these two items but God is independent & does not depend on any other item.
Matter (food) is converted into energy & awareness is a form of energy. Thus, matter & awareness are inter-convertible. When a human being called “Ahalya” was converted in to inert statue & again when statue was converted into human being, this inter-conversion is proved. When Ahalya became a stone, her soul did not go to upper world. It remained there only. Awareness is an item of creation & so exactly duplicate souls were created by Lord Krishna when these souls were stolen by Prajapati. These points clearly show that awareness is a conversion of inert matter & a form of inert energy and an item of creation only.
If one accepts science, it is very easy to prove that awareness is a special form of inert energy flowing through nervous system while functioning. Robot is just duplicate of human being. Current flowing in wires is awareness flowing in nervous system.Information stored in chip is exactly information stored in brain. Brain is system of several microprocessors working simultaneously, which grasps all points regarding an object in one instance.
You treat brain as CD in which information is stored in the form of written impressions on matter or you can treat brain as the RAM in which the information is stored in the form of pulses by electromagnetic energy. This does not make any difference for a spiritual approach. It is a topic of science.Even in science a physicist does not differentiate matter and energy. Thus, in science it is clearly proved that awareness is inert energy only which on functioning in nervous system becomes a specific form by doing specific work. Infact, awareness is form of special work done by inert energy.
In an interview when asked "who are you?", Jiddu Krishnamurti said, "is that an important question? Or would you say, ‘Who am I’ – not who you are, who am I? You must also know the knowledge the characteristics of the Lord in human form to identify Him (Manusheem Tanumaasritam – Gita).
2) You must know that the only path to please the Lord is sacrifice of all the worldly bonds. The root bond of all these bonds is only the bond with money, which is called ‘Dhaneshana’ since if money is not present the entire bonds will break (Dhanena Tyagenaike). 3) You must know that you are the soul, which is a bundle of the three qualities mixed in different proportions (Naanyam Gunebhyah Kartaram – Gita). You must differentiate yourself from the Lord since the Lord is beyond the qualities (Gunaateethah – Gita). You are the colored shirt and the Lord is the person who is wearing the colored shirt.
You can learn about the importance of human form from Hanuman, who recognized and worshipped Rama and from Gopikas, who recognized and worshipped Krishna. Both are the human incarnations present during their lifetime. They never worshipped statues of the previous incarnations or the forms of the Lord, which are in the upper world like Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Similarly you must learn the path of sacrifice from Sakthuprastha who sacrificed even little flour, which he was going to eat after fasting for the last ten days. You must also learn that you are only a soul but not the Lord from Hanuman.
You are nothing before Hanuman in knowledge, devotion and power. When such greatest Hero in this world is surrendering to the Lord saying that he is the servant of the Lord (Daasoham Kousalendrasya), you are after all a small baby monkey before Him. Therefore you should know that you are not the Lord and surrender to the Lord as a humble servant. In fact you should become the servant of His servant (Hanuman) before you become a direct servant of the Lord (Daasasya Dasah).
Don’t turn the spiritual journey into another psychological thing to prove you are a victim, or you are somehow inadequate, or impotent or incompetent, or something. You can do it if you want to, but it’s really not that much fun to go about it that way. You want to go from using the spiritual journey in the service of your psycho-dynamics, in the service of your ego, to using your psychodynamics in the service of the spiritual thing...

Rama always said that He was only a human being and not God. Because of this, almost all devotees misunderstood Rama to be just a human being. When even Sita misunderstood Rama, what to speak of other devotees! Rama told Sita not to follow Him into the forest due to the danger of wild animals in the forest. But Sita retorted “Are You not man enough to protect me? You are actually a woman in the dress of a man! Without knowing this truth, my father gave me to You in marriage (Striyam puruṣa vigraham...)!” Here, Sita appears to be most ignorant soul. But the fact is that she was acting in the role of an ignorant soul who was unable to understand the future tragedy that awaited her in the forest. By this, she was preaching to ignorant souls, who will fall into difficulties if they neglect the words of Human Incarnation, mistaking Him to be an ordinary human being.
Rama also acted like an ignorant human being in order to preach about the tragic result of blind fascination. On seeing the golden deer, Sita asked Rama to capture it for her. Rama acted like a man fascinated by his sweet wife. He ran after the deer even though His younger brother Lakshmana warned Him seriously against it. The incident teaches us that we should carefully consider even the advice of people who are younger than us & not just neglect them.
The result of Rama’s fascination for His wife was a big tragedy, which is well-known. Lakshmana had stayed behind to protect Sita when Rama went after golden deer. But when Rama’s cries for help were heard, Sita urged Lakshmana to rush for His help. Lakshmana refused to leave Sita and rush for his brother’s rescue since he was confident that Rama could not possibly be in any danger. But Sita, who was extremely anxious about safety of Rama, scolded Lakshmana in unimaginable words. She said that Lakshmana had followed her and Rama into the forest with the hidden intention of marrying Sita after the demise of Rama!
This again preaches to us that we are always swept away by extreme emotion which makes us see only one side of the situation. The emotion prevents us from analyzing from the other side. As a result, the situation ends up in terrible tragedy.

Mind has two modes,
One is bad other is of good, the one after Knowledge of truth rejects both.
Even clinging to something called "Mindful" or "being good" or "heart felt" is modification of mind, this is very subtle point.
However, this is required, i.e the purity of mind,
it is a pre requisite which provides you base on which knowledge of truth matures.
Trust me, one exhausts ones own self no matter what but Supreme truth is never to be found despite it being immediate and direct because it is the mind which is trying to form a thought of 'reality' which is formless and self evident, which is source relatively of mind itself, ever present it is.
From,
Tamasic Modifications one climbs up to Rajasic ones, from Rajasic ones to Sattavic ones, from Sattvic ones, the Extremely rare Beings Such as Ashtavakra, makes a jump to Supreme Truth, which is Inexplainable and Eternal Bliss, which is permanent and is source.
Being in that stage,
One is not even bothered or even is liberated from the act of being "Heartfelt" or Effort of being "Soft heart" as well
The points are extremely subtle, not to be misunderstood,
No Happiness rising out of objects or self efforts can be compared with the freedom & Bliss secured by Knowledge of Truth, it envelopes all types of happiness and beyond.
it is like Melting Mercilessly in Ocean of Pure Bliss, There mind thinks not, not even eyes sees, no ear listens, no sound is spoken by tongue, no Movement there happens, no Movement.

He also says that the path with flowers leads to hell. People will not be happy with this preaching. A Guru preaches which several people like. The Guru says that the nature of the goal will be the nature of the path. Since the Lord is full of bliss the path also must be with flowers giving happiness. Since the hell is giving you lot of pain the path with thorns which also gives lot of pain must lead to the hell. This argument is very attractive.
Several people will like this and will become the followers of Guru. Several people will praise him and give lot of Guru Dakshina because his argument is pleasant. But a Satguru says that the path with thorns alone will lead to the Lord because in this path you have to cut the bonds with your family and with your hard-earned money. Sacrifice gives lot of pain and sacrifice alone will lead to the Lord. The path with flowers strengthens your bonds with your family and money which gives you lot of happiness. Such path leads to the hell.
Several people do not like such argument and so only one or two persons who can realize the truth will become His disciples. A Satguru will never worry about the number of the disciples and about the quantity of Guru Dakshina. Even if a single disciple is available He is happy. Majority always goes to hell. Only one in millions like Sankara, Vivekananda, Meera can reach the Lord. Diamonds are always in minority. Gravel stones are in majority. Therefore a Satguru will be only one in thousands of Gurus and a true disciple will be only one in millions of disciples.
When you are doing prayers you are praising the Lord as a poet praises a king. The foolish king may give some gift to the poet. But the omniscient Lord can never be fooled by such praise. When you sing songs are chant the name of the Lord or express the feelings of devotion by shedding tears or by meditation you are getting the happiness and peace immediately. You have achieved the fruit. The Lord will not give another fruit for these things.

When you sacrifice your money for the divine work your treasure in the heaven is built up. This means that God will help you after your death and you will enter the kingdom of God.
You give your earnings to your family only and so your real love is on your family only. There is no need of any further argument on this point because it is very clear proof. This is the real fire test for your love. You are sacrificing valueless words and valueless mind in leisure, which is valueless time. This cannot prove the real value of God. You must give real value to God.
You are finishing your prayers and meditation on God as soon as the time to go to job is nearing. Similarly, when some work for the family is approaching, you are immediately leaving the presence of God. Therefore you do not give any value to God for all practical purpose. But you tell lies in your prayers that God is everything for you. The money is the final test and it can be the only test also since all the family is associated with you for money only and the family serves you in your old age for your money only. If the money is sacrificed to God your real color of love can be seen.
An idealistic interpretation of Yogacara Buddhism traditionally finds its justification in the famous slogan of the Samdhinirmocana sutra that “the object of consciousness is the manifestation of consciousness only"...

This concept is the concept of Islam or the concept of Madhvacharya in Hinduism. Thus, Hinduism is a mini model of the entire universal religions. The Science represents atheism. Even this atheism is represented in Hinduism by the sub-religion of Charvaka (Nastika Matam). All the sub-religions of Hinduism are the religions in the world. Whatever is in the world, it is present in Hinduism.
Universal spirituality brings the unity of all religions in the world and thus it brings the unity in all the sub-religions in Hinduism also. Rationality is the essence of the science. The scientist will laugh if you speak any thing irrational (Reasonless). Even in the small matters of this world, we analyze with reason and logic before we follow it and we say that we should not be emotional in taking any decision. Then how much logical we should be in such great spiritual effort, if you want to attain real success?
