Modes of nature /Laws of nature

Life Sciences

Lord Krishna professes that persons who are situated in the internal sphere of Satva Guna would get absolved from all previous sinful reactions rather become sinless. A person who is situated in the inherence of Satva Guna remains in a sense of happiness. Satva Guna is the mode that appends with itself the qualities of happiness, righteousness, all positive qualities of goodness and eventually an enlightened stage. A person who is situated in the state of Satva Guna would construct an aura of positivity around. Such a person’s inner persona would be devoid of all negative qualities such as greed, lust, envy, haughtiness, anger etc. The demeanour of a person who is structured by Sato Guna would be endearing, pious, kindhearted. Building up of Satva Guna as one’s characteristic is a consistent practice. One has to constantly abstain from indulging in negative attributes that apparently pollutes the character of a person.

Rajo Guna the second mode of nature makes an individual captive to infinite aspirations, unbridled and unrestrained passion for wealth, power, lust. In order to achieve these, one works hard and adopts unfair means i.e Adharma. A person whose internal characteristic is influenced by Rajoguna would be seen to blindly scamper behind everything that the mind aspires for. In order fulfill the aspirations, a person would rigorously work without even considering that the ways adopted to procure the aspirations are righteous or not. Aspirations would never halt and a person accompanied with Rajoguna would always be running a blind race to meet his desires. In the wake of unaccomplished aspirations, the fire of fury gets ignited in him and the degree of rajoguna changes his persona relegating him towards the deadly and devastating mode of Tamo Guna.

Tamo Guma is the mode of nature that personifies darkness and ignorance. A person with the characteristics of Tamo Guna would lead a life in complete darkness of ignorance. Such a person would live in delusion and all his decisions would be extracted from the delusionary state culminating into disastrous affect in his life. Tamo guna is a state of complete blackout; blackout or mind; blackout of brain. In such a state, the mind of a person would divagate from one subject to another inciting to own every desire that crops up in mind by any means even if it has to be fulfilled through an act of crime. Tamo Guna makes a person hostage to ignorance and takes one to state of paranoia in which one indulges in drugs and alcoholism, womanizing, impudence towards parents and elders, pugnacious attitude, insanity and laziness.
