Elimination of false notions through teachings of Guru.

Universal Values and MoralityScientific Wisdom

A society is confluence of people with diverse customs, ideologies, mindsets and exclusiveness of standard of living. In such a scenario, people from one sect try to place their side on the top shelf condescending others. The social fabric is unnerved because in order to carry weightage of their own dogmas, people are deviating from the path of righteousness (Dharma). The self created maxims of a sect and their ideologies are being termed as righteousness (Dharma). Such self constructed ideologies cannot in any manner be the real Dharma. A place where many sects exist, dilemmas are bound to breathe and suffocate. Righteousness (Dharma) can only be one. It cannot be molded according to the whims and fancies of a sect or comfort of a section of people. The actual Dharma is protection of human rights and for human welfare.

In order to eschew from the dangerous state of self produced ideologies erroneously being proclaimed as Dharma, it is imperative for every individual to seek blessings of Guru and embrace his teachings. The Guru can be one’s father, mother, friend or one’s school teacher. Any person who shows the true path of righteousness and protect one from all adversities can be ones’ Guru.

I remember the cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar always remaining grounded despite his on field heroics when he stands in front of his teacher Sh. Ramakant Achre. In his match of swan song, Tendulkars’s righteous characteristic again was in display. He paid respect to the soil that gave him the endurance to perform and attainment of success throughout his career. The Dharma which was displayed by Tendulkar is worth emulation. A teacher’s contribution is immense in the development of overall personality of a person.

Geeta Phogat, another example in the field of wrestling, owed every bit of her success to her Guru who incidently was her father also. Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago lecture is considered to be momentous where he delivered sermons accentuating upon the actual Dharma. He never failed to mention about his Guru, his teacher for the ambrosia of knowledge that was imparted to him by Sh. Ram Krishna Paramhans.
