Qualities of a Teacher

Lord Krishna manifests another characteristic of a teacher. After having imparted with the ultimate knowledge, God asked Arjuna to assimilate the knowledge in order to strengthen his Karma. Thereafter, Lord gave him the liberty to do whatever he wishes to. However, Arjuna’s inherent nature of being an gallant soldier and a devout of Lord Krishna would never had allowed him to take a retrograde step.

A good teacher would impart the essential knowledge to the students and ensure that the students grasped everything and are not carrying half baked knowledge. Giving liberty to the students would boost their confidence. Moreover would be able to utilize the given knowledge for qualitative deliverance of actions and also innovate for better results.

Guru Dronacharya taught Arjuna the skill of archery and later gave him the liberty but not before educating him about the inhibitions attached to it. Arjuna refurbished his skill and became a supreme warrior. Ramakant Achrekar taught every cricketing nuance to his pupil Sachin Tendulkar and then gave him the liberty. Sachin polished the acquired skill through his diligence and wisdom thus becoming one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game. Granting freedom to students would empower them to reach great heights in the specialized field.
