559. The patient and discreet effort of the mind to rise above its twin reactions to persons, things and events is the essence of spiritual seeking and saadhana. In such an effort is implied the attainment of the Self and the Almighty. To abide in the Self is to be remaining neutral, harmonious and stable. For this, the culture of refinement based upon the thought and expression of the Self is the only effective way.
