Low blood pressure or Hypotension can be caused due to various reasons such as low blood volume, anaemia, nutritional deficiency, heart problems, and hormonal changes, amongst others. Regular practice of physical exercises, like yoga , can improve blood flow in the body, and thus, alleviate low blood pressure. Yoga asanas like Uttanasana ,Adho Mukha Svanasana, Pavanmuktasana, Shishuasana and Sarvangasana are recommended for low blood pressure patients. Kapal Bhati, Bhastrika and Suryabhedi Pranayama also improves blood circulation and uplifts the mind.
