Saturday, Sep 15, 2018 - 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm: Dependent Origination led by Venerable Tenzin Legtsok

What is the meaning of our lives? Shakyamuni Buddha taught that misapprehension of how things fundamentally exist is at the root of all our dissatisfaction. One of the most important teachings in Buddhism is "Dependent origination" or "Dependent arising". This is the way that the self and phenomena exist conventionally as relative and interdependent. They come into existence in dependence upon (1) causes and conditions, (2) their parts and, most subtly, (3) the mind imputing, or labeling, them. Venerable Tenzin Legtsok will guide us toward perceiving how we conventionally as a first toward generating the wisdom of selflessness which brings an end to samsara.

The session will be conducted by Venerable Tenzin Legtsok. Born and raised in Virginia, Venerable Tenzin Legtsok entered Sera Je Monastic University in Bylakuppe (Karnataka State) in the year 2004. Venerable Legtsok is a senior Teacher at CKSL, and is currently pursuing his Geshe degree.
