The benefits of meditation, particularly mindfulness meditation, have been well known to meditators for millennia. Now, even the scientific academic community has started to extol the benefits of this meditation for mental and physical health, including stress reduction, alleviation of chronic pain, insomnia, diabetes and hypertension, and the improvement of concentration and overall well-being.

Overview
Venerable Tenzin Namjong will lead us through the various aspects and techniques of the Mindfulness Meditation. This is a practical teaching, with an emphasis that even students with no prior meditation experience will gain sufficient knowledge to start their own daily meditation practice.

Who Can Join
Everyone and anyone is welcome to attend, irrespective of religious background, spiritual inclination, age, and prior level of knowledge in meditation. So please invite and bring your friends, family or anyone you think would be interested in developing lasting peace of mind!

Born and raised in Hawaii, Venerable Tenzin Namjong took ordination from the Sera Je Abbot in year 2007. Venerable Namjong is a senior Teacher at CKSL, who is currently pursuing his Geshe degree at Sera Je Monastery in Bylakuppe (Karnataka state).
