Tuesday, April 30 and Wednesday, May 1 - 06:00 pm to 08:00 pm: Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga Teaching and Practice led by Venerable Tenzin Namjong

Lama Tsongkhapa (1357-1419) was a great Tibetan scholar, saint, and yogi of the 14th century, widely known as the founder of the Gelukpa tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. This year marks the 600-year anniversary of Lama Tsongkhapa’s passing into parinirvana. To observe this anniversary, students around the world collectively will be reciting 600 million Migtsema mantras, which is traditionally recited in the context of the Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga practice.

To assist students with this global effort for Lama Tsongkhapa’s anniversary, Choe Khor Sum Ling is pleased to announce a teaching on the Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Yoga practice. This practice is exalted for receiving the blessings of one’s personal teacher, clearing away obstacles and developing the realizations of the path to enlightenment. Venerable Tenzin Namjong will elucidate the key points of this practice, enabling practitioners of any experience level to perform this practice on a daily basis.

Born and raised in Hawaii, Venerable Tenzin Namjong entered Sera Je Monastic University in Bylakuppe (Karnataka State) in the year 2007. Venerable Namjong is a senior Teacher at CKSL, and is currently pursuing his Geshe degree in Buddhist Philosophy.

Please take advantage of these opportunities to increase your wisdom and compassion!
