Teacher Patanjali says;

Meditation BasicsMeditative TraditionsMeditation PracticesScience and MeditationMindful Meditation and MovementMindfulness PracticesSensory ConsciousnessMindfulness Treatments & Therapies Awakening of ConsciousnessWisdom and Experience

Second Sloka, Our Teacher wrote was;

योगश्चित्तवृत्तिनिरोधः ॥ १.२॥
Yoga (is) Mind-modifications cease(practice to cease).

Yoga is Ceasing mind-modifications, which modifications? which stand against truth and it's nature, for, when truth is realized, no modification as previous comes forth, when ignorance vanishes, knowledge dawns, then there no modifications as such of ignorance remains.

Like for ex: student didnt knew about distance of earth from sun but when teacher taught, he don't then purposefully continues to think that he still does not knows.

The second sloka, only, tells us the direction of introspection meaning trying to understand nature of very mind itself which later develops into "dharna", which is to be done, by a practitioner looking for truth, what is the wait then?

The direction is here, 'will' shall manifest there so to achieve highest benefit.
