UN declaration and Bhagavad Gita

Leadership

The teacher of universe, Lord Krishna had declared destruction of evil and antisocial elements on the basis of policies aimed at protection for human rights from Verses 7 & 8 in chapter 4 of Bhagavad Gita. Krishna had emphatically pronounced the annihilation of evil forces to be the foundation for establishing eternal righteousness (Sanatan Dharma).

On 10th December 1948, the United Nations had too promulgated about conferment of equal rights to upkeep the sanctity, protection and universal acceptance of human rights. It was categorically maintained as the exclusive administrative and political responsibility. It was asseverated that for sustenance of human rights, there is a need for strong opposition as well as revolt against crime and injustice.

In Bhagavad Gita, Human Rights Protection has been declared as the sole policy for establishing universal righteousness. The vision imparted by Bhagavad Gita is about discharge of one’s deeds for the welfare of people (sarva bhoot hite rata

Liberation from fear and deprivation combined with freedom of speech and religion ( caste, trust and devotion) have been declared by the UN as the two most important facets for an effective administration yearned and expected by the citizens of any nation. All nations under UN are in strong consensus that apart from social development and better standard of living, the foundation in order to secure world peace, justice and freedom depend upon bestowal of equal rights to the human kind. Every represented nation had taken pledge to contribute to the cause.

On 10th December 1948, an appeal was made to every nation affiliated to UNO to make momentous contribution in the sustenance of dignity and protection of human rights. In Bhagvad Geeta too, an appeal of such nature has been raised. The eternal scientific deeds enunciated in Bhagavad Gita are the universal manifesto for the policies of human rights protection. The policy mentioned requires imposition of stringent punitive measures for criminals and offenders. Elimination of criminal forces (Vinaashayacha Dushkritam) is the eternal and principal exercise for a robust political foundation in order to bring peace, security, freedom and social development.

A righteous thought with a conduct par excellence takes a human being to the vertex of success in all his endeavours. The world has witnessed many such examples who worked with highest level of integrity in the accomplishment of various ventures envisioning welfare of the people.
